Skip Gudger {Owner}

Eugene “Skip” Gudger was born and raised in Asheville, NC. After studying electronics in college and working for M.B. Haines Electric, Skip moved to Sarasota in 1980. Skip worked for H & Y Electric as well as Westec Security before going to work for Ben Thurston’s Appliances in 1984. After less than two years, Skip became Ben Thurston’s Appliances
Field Service Supervisor and held that position until
he left to start Skip’s Appliance Service in 1988.

Shortly after starting Skip’s Appliance Service, Skip decided to return to school to learn air conditioning, heating and refrigeration. After Skip became a Certified Air Conditioning Contractor in the state of Florida in 1995, the business officially became Skip’s Air Conditioning and Appliance Service, Inc. Skip has also been factory trained by almost every major appliance manufacturer, including Maytag, Amana, Speed Queen, General Electric, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, Scotsman and many more.

Skip’s was originally established in September of 1988 by Skip Gudger. After growing in 10 short years, Skip’s was incorporated in 1998. Then in 2008, Skip’s Air Conditioning and Appliance Service, Inc. was accredited with an A+ with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Today Skip’s Air Conditioning and Appliance Service, Inc. has over 6 vehicles on the road helping customers all over Sarasota and Manatee Counties. We Bring Integrity Back to the Industry!!!
